5th grade has lots of new things from 4th grade… for example: We have bathroom passass, we have 5 teachers, there’s no writing staar, we take are backpacks to every class, we have hall meetings, there’s a science staar, we get more involved with American history and science, and even more different things. This year i’m looking forward in doing lots of science experiments, passing all of the staar tests, getting A’s, become better at reading and science, read more, I want to make new friends in school, church, etc. I want to do whatever I can do to get ready for middle school next year! It’s very, very, VERY hard without Jenna this year, but i really hope sometime this year me and my Mom can go visit her in Tennessee. I hope that I can get more involved with Volleyball and dance as well. I know that 5th grade might be harder than 4th but, if you just listen to your teachers, do what you’re told and be kind to EVERYONE then you’ll have a great and fun year, trust me!! I’m very excited for the things that we will do in 5th grade, and I hope 5th grade will be a year I will remember.

There is a lot of hobbies and activities you can do. You can draw, sing, dance, read, write, play outside, and so much more, but out of all of those, my most favorite hobby is…. drawing.
I love to draw because you can draw whatever you would like. Another reason why I love to draw is because, you can use whatever different colors, and supplies you like. Drawing also makes me calm down from a very hard day. There is a ton of reasons why I draw, but I mostly draw because, I love giving it to other people because, it makes me and them happy.
Supplies you can use are…. pens, crayons, pencils, markers, paint, and so many more things. When you might want something dark or light then, you can use neon colors to make it light or use really dark colors to make it dark. Painting is something I do a lot on b-day cards I give to family and friends. Stamps are also something fun and cute to add to drawings or pictures.
Even though drawing can be difficult its’s still a great hobby to use or do.
Everyone has a talent, or a special skill. Mine is singing….
My parents say when I was younger I could sing non-stop. They called me the human radio. I would sometimes even pretend I was singing in front of a whole entire crowd, p.s. It was really my family!!
I love singing because, it makes me feel happy and proud. I have a song book I write songs in, I try to think or write songs that make me and other people feel happy about, and just sing out loud to the song.
Some people feel very glad when you hear a song that’s full of excitement, example: can’t stop the feeling, by: Justin Timberlake. That’s like the type of songs I want to right about when i’m older.
Even though it’s hard for some people to help someone by singing, I think it’s great to because, songs always makes people happy.

Do you have traditions you do with your family? Well, I do…
Last Christmas was the best. A couple weeks before Christmas we put up our Christmas tree. We have some special ornaments we hang some were even from when I was a baby. When we go Christmas shopping my Nana takes me, we are all kinda split up so we don’t know what we are getting. I love to wrap presents and sometimes even tie very cute bows. My Dad doesn’t want to get on the roof and put up Christmas lights because he is scared he will might fall, we beg him anyway. The night before Christmas we get the cookies and milk ready for Santa, and carrots for the reindeer. In the morning we see what Santa left for us, open other gifts from family, look in our stockings while eating wonderful great food and watch Christmas movies.
I will always remember that special time i spent with my family on Christmas.
